
Al Jisr Foundation confirmed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) by signing its letter to the UN Secretary General on April 2018. Since then, the Foundation has joined more than 12,000 organizations worldwide that have agreed to work towards meeting the highest standards of ethical business conduct and governance.
Al Jisr Foundation issues communication on engagement reports every two years, to renew its commitment to supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations, and in which we reflect our activities and efforts during the coverage period.

The UNGC is a United Nations initiative aimed to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies. The UNGC is a principle based framework for businesses and organizations, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.
THESE PRINCIPLES REFLECT OUR APPROACH AND WORK ETHIC, WHICH WE UPHOLD WHEREVER WE OPERATE:
Principle 01
Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 02
make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Principle 03
Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 04
the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 05
the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 06
the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Principle 07
Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 08
undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 09
encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Principle 10
Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
