Al Jisr Foundation was established on November 14, 2010, in Muscat, under the Ministry of Social Development Ministerial Decision No. 127/2010 and in accordance with the provisions of the Non-Governmental Organizations Law No. 14/2000. The Foundation is independently funded and does not accept donations from any source. It focuses on implementing sustainable programs and initiatives in the fields of health, education, and economic empowerment, in addition to social welfare projects.
Al Jisr Foundation has supported many initiatives within the Sultanate, with the primary goal of serving disadvantaged groups in the community, particularly those eligible for zakat and charity.
In accordance with its registration and governing legal framework, Al Jisr Foundation is mandated to operate exclusively within the Sultanate of Oman. The Foundation is not authorized to fund or implement any activities outside the Sultanate.
Honoring the legacy of the late Sheikh Saud Salem Bahwan Al-Mukhaini, the Foundation is now led by two of his daughters:
